I am surprised anyone came to this page. Just go to the portfolio and look at the art! 

I got a degree in fine art from a college not known for even having an art department. I was a painter. Mostly acrylic on canvas. Mostly abstract.

I worked at a custom frame shop — but made a point to call it a “Gallery Slash Frame Shop” because they had walls with framed prints for sale and that sounded cool and justified my getting an art degree.

I bought a Mac and taught myself how to use it and became a graphic designer. Graphic design became my sole creative outlet while also providing the resources to do life. I struggled to find the time and space for painting.

Years (decades?) later, I started to experiment with watercolors. All the necessary supplies fit into a small container in a kitchen cupboard. Accessible. No set up. Easy to clean up. Eventually one container became a collection of containers — and then some shelves — and then I was creating art on a semi-regular basis.

Part of me felt like I was being frivolous and self indulgent to spend time creating art to simply store in yet another container. So I started to share it with friends. It felt good to have it be seen. I started uploading images to a print on demand website. Being seen by dozens, then hundreds, then thousands of people.
